Privacy Policy

The Ramathan Contests platform (ramathan.com and its apps) is run by Tothiq AI Services & Solutions in the State of Kuwait. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. The Arabic version of this policy is the reference version.

The data we collect

• Account data: the email address you sign in with, after you confirm it.
• Phone number: your mobile number. It is needed to take part in the contests, and we use it only to contact you when you win and to hand over the prize.
• Identity check data: the account holder checks their identity with the Lumex service, which matches the Civil ID or ID card with a photo of the face. From the result we keep: the full name, the date of birth, the country, the address, and the Civil ID or ID number. We do not keep photos of the card or of the face.
• Family members’ data: the father or mother adds the children to the family account with the first name and family name as on the Civil ID, the date of birth and the Civil ID number.
• Play data: the games you play, your points, the lanterns you collect and your entries in the contests.
• Location in the Lantern Hunt: when you press “Collect the lantern” we ask once for your phone’s location to make sure you are 50 metres or less from the lantern. We check the location and discard it at once. We do not keep it or share it; we keep only the result of the try. A lantern cannot be collected without sharing the location.
• Ramadan Table photos: the photos you send to take part in the contest.
• Contact messages: the name, email, phone number and message when you use the contact form or the sponsorship form.
• Site statistics: we count page visits without cookies and without keeping anything that identifies the visitor, and we record the country the visit came from.

Why we use your data

• To make sure every player is a real person, with only one account per person.
• To check the conditions for taking part, such as the country and the age.
• To run the games and contests and choose the winners.
• To hand over prizes, matching the Civil ID of the winner or of their parent at handover.
• To reply to your messages and sponsorship requests.
• To improve the platform through general statistics that identify no one.

Who sees your data

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• The Civil ID number, address and phone number are seen only by the authorised platform team, and every view is logged.
• Sponsors do not receive your personal data. We may show the winner’s first name and family name when the results are announced, and nothing else.
• The Lumex service processes the identity check data on our behalf and only on our instructions.
• We may disclose data when a competent official authority asks for it under the law.

Protecting the data

We keep the data on secure servers. The Civil ID number, address and phone number are stored encrypted and are shown in full only when needed to hand over prizes.

Children

Children do not create accounts themselves. The father or mother adds them to the family account and is responsible for their data being correct. A parent can delete the data of any of their children at any time.

How long we keep the data

We keep the account data as long as the account exists. We delete the identity check data and the family members’ data when the account is deleted, except what the law requires us to keep.

Your rights

You may see your data, correct it and ask us to delete your account and data. Write to us from the contact form and we will reply within a reasonable time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will publish the new date at the top of the page. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email.
